Yippeee! Live Safari cam drives!

Hi all

I am so pleased we have live game drives again! I was missing them, and I know you all were too. Thank you for all your support and offers for help, these we will take you up on and several new forums have been created for those who want to help to make this a sustainable enterprise. For those that want to help and have not joined a forum yet, please do so. There are forums fro merchandizing, for advertising, for embedding the stream, etc

I must also take a moment here to thank all those on the ground that have made this possible, Graham, Emily and Peter have put in enormous effort and long hours and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for a tremendous effort! And then those that will actually be running the Safari Cam: Marc, Tara, Sebastien and of course Becky volunteering to stand in for Tara whilst she is away; thank you to you all for taking the leap of faith and joining us in this effort to safe this remarkable concept.

And finally, thank you to all my long suffering staff at Djuma! Without you, none of this would be possible.

I have just finished reading Pippi’s book and now understand a bit more why you were willing to take on the drives… You and Pippa have shown such courage and tenacity in always taking the next step and the next and making them work. I am so glad WE can be here with you in this new creation. THANK YOU from the bottom of MY heart for making it possible for me to be back in South Africa in this way

I watched the drives for a long time. Then my computer broke. Took 8 months to buy a new one. I returned to Djuma on the final day of the drives. I had no idea that the safari’s would not be up forever. Now I am determined to help in any small way that I can to make sure you stay open.

I made 3×5 cards with your website on them and I pass them out to my customers at my work. I really pushed them when the safari drives re-opened.

But then last night one of the chatters suggested that you guys make some sort of card with your logo and web on it. We could download it, print it and pass them out. I think that is such a great idea. My handwriting is terrible. People may not take it seriously with my poor attempts to draw lion paw prints around my makeshift business cards.

A professionally done card that I could print out would be perfect. You have more viewers from America than ever before. Imagine what us regular viewers could do if we had something that looks good to hand to people. One chatter said she wrote on post-it notes and handed them to her patients.

We can’t help without you and you can’t stay open without our help. Let’s work together on this! It couldn’t possibly cost much to do.

    permanantly devoted
