AM drive: The day started very hot and the drive headed out wondering
what the sightings would be on the last day of this century!! To the
east of Long Pool one male Elephant was sighted. At Annettes Dam
2 hippo were seen bobbing up and down in the water.
PM drive: The
last drive of this year and this century, the heat of the
last few days was replaced by the much needed storms, when the drive
left the rain was easing so there was some anticipation as to what would
be out there. As the drive approached the south of Gowrie Dam
1 male leopard was sighted, the drive watched on as he made his way
into the bush. The vehicle moved to north of Nkorho Camp and were greeted
by 3 female lions and 2 male lions, and to finish the day there was
one bull elephant to the north of the Hyena Den. A fantastic drive
full of excitement. A Happy New Year from Djume Game Reserve.

AM drive: The first drive of the new year was fairly
quiet. One male buffalo was sighted at B-Hoek Dam, and further to the
west one male elephant.
