2 July
PM
-The 2 male Cheetah's who had been seen earlier in the day were
found again this afternoon, this time on Cheetah Plains. They
eventually moved South over the reserve's boundary.
-2 Male and 4 Lionesses (Nkuhuma Pride) were found near Nyala
Dam.
3 July
AM
-The 2 Male Lions and 4 Lionesses from the Nkuhuma Pride were
found at Vuyatela Dam. They had killed a Buffalo Bull during the
night and were feeding on the carcass for most of the day.
PM
-A large Breeding herd of Buffalo were found drinking at Djuma
Dam. After their thirst quench, they moved away from the dam towards
the South.
-2 Rhino bulls were found on Impala Plains grazing to the East.
-2 Elephant bulls were found at 3 in a row Pan.
-The 6 Lions (Nkuhuma Pride) were found still feeding on the Buffalo
at Vuyatela Dam.
4 July
AM
-3 Elephant bulls were found on Zoë's road.
-The Nkuhuma Pride was found lazing around in the area where they
had been feeding on the Buffalo carcass.
PM
-The 6 Lions from the Nkuhuma Pride were found still feeding on
the carcass. There was not much meat left and the 2 males were
keeping it all for themselves. Each time one of the Lionesses
would approach they got growled at and chased off.
5 July
AM
-A large herd of Buffalo were found at Sidney's dam. After their
drink they moved off towards the East.
PM
-1 young male Leopard (Son of the Beacon Female) was found near
Vuyatela dam moving south in the riverbed. He was viewed for a
few minutes, before moving into very thick bush.
-1 Elephant bull was found near the Mluwanini riverbed feeding
on Torchwood fruit.
-3 Buffalo bulls were found drinking at Torchwood waterhole.
6 July
AM
-A breeding herd of Elephants was found at 3 in a row pan moving
slowly to the south.
