Jan Bakels of South Africa was kind enough to allow us to publish other photographs he took during his stay at Djuma. He submitted the pictures of the snake eating the lizard. He visited Djuma Game Reserve in January 2003. The first photograph above is of a mother leopard that had her eye damaged in a territorial dispute with another leopard. She was defending her two cubs. The eye has clouded over, but seems to be recovering now. | ||
