Lee, Sabrina and Yaa Baker: “Great knowledge and we felt in good hands. Nice kid friendly atmosphere. It was very important for us not to feel like some game lodge during the colonial period. We felt like this was an empowering theme.

It has been four and a bit years I have watched this pride of lions flourish, expand, collapse and hopefully make a bit of a come back.

For a short while there was a second camera at Bush Lodge. This camera was placed at the dam just to the west of the lodge, I think with the intention of having a more natural-looking setting to which we pumped water.

On the 24th December we celebrated Christmas Dinner at Vuyatela with all the staff and guests in camp…it was a very festive affair !! While the guests were on game drive each staff member played his or her role in bringing the dining room to “Christmas” life; which included a creative display / presentation piece, Christmas lights, an inviting buffet counter, Christmas tree and the most beautifully decorated table we’ve seen all year.
