YELLOWEYED
CANARY Serinus mozambicus They are one of the most common canaries found in the eastern section of southern Africa. They are often heard singing from tree tops and do so for most months of the year. The yellow eye stripe and a yellow patch on their backs are their distinguishing features. Out of the breading season they may be found in flocks as large as 100 birds. They nest in trees close to the end of branches, where females incubate the eggs from 16-24 days. They will breed from September to May.
