Woodland Kingfisher Halcyon senegalensis
They are a common bird in the area migrating here from North Africa during the months of October to April. They migrate at night and are very vocal birds. They are usually found alone or in pairs and breed during the months of November to March, incubating for upto 14 days and feeding mainly on insects. |
