Water Dikkop Burhinus vermiculatus

They are mainly found in the wetter regions of the country and are common in the Djuma area, found around dams and other water bodies. They are usually found in-groups sometimes as large as 15, but mainly in pairs. They will breed from July to January and their incubation period is unknown. Feeding on young fish, small crabs and insects.
