GREATER
BLUE EARED STARLING Lamprotornis chalybaeus This is another beautiful bird found in the area and are found in large flocks outside of the breeding season. They are omnivores and will eat insects as well as fruits. The name comes from the ear coverts being dark and without gloss, forming a dark patch behind the eye. They will be found breeding from September to November, nesting in a hole in a tree. The female will incubate for around 14 days
