Spotted Dikkop Burhinus capensis
They can be found throughout Southern Africa on open grassland areas, in close proximity to trees, Sports fields and large lawns. They are considered common in their range and are usually found in pairs or alone. They breed between August and December, both parents incubating for upto 24 days. They eat insects, grass seed and frogs. |
