Marsh Owl Asio capensis
They can be found in Southern Spain, Southern Africa and Madagascar, living in grassland, edges of marshland and vlei areas. They are normally found alone but move in pairs when breeding. They will eat small rodents, bats and animals upto the size of young scrub hares. They may breed at any time of year with an incubation period of upto 28 days. |
