CRESTED
FRANCOLIN Francolinus sephaena These birds are almost always found in the thick bush, found on the edges of drainage lines, where they scratch around for seeds. They will give alarm calls if flushed or disturbed by predators and will fly up to trees to escape. They are said to roost in trees at night to a greater degree then other birds belonging to this group. They will eat insects, termites, seeds and grain. The nest is made on the ground and the female will incubate for about 19 days.
