Helmeted Guineafowl Numida meleagris
The Helmeted Guineafowl can also be found in Southern Arabia. They are very common in their range and when not breeding may gather in flocks of a couple of hundred birds, but are usually in pairs. They are known to breed from October to April, with a short incubation, done only by the female, lasting upto 30 days. Feeding on ticks, berries, tubers, insects, bulbs, seeds and insects. |
