Great White Egret Egretta alba
They are also members of the Ardeidae family and are found all over the world. They are uncommon and are normally found alone, but roost with others in trees at night. They will be found breeding between August and March with both sexes doing the incubation, which lasts from 24-27 days. The young first fly at about 40 days old. They occasionally breed amongst other herons. They feed on small mammal, insects, frogs and fish. |
